In Racing Form

Bunny here at the keyboard with a race update.

While Pip has been off in the hot tub with a certain group of ladies, I have been concentrating on winning the prize.  I hope he and Roo have been having fun down there in the tropics.  I admit, I was hoping to have some dogs cheering for me to win, but I am happy to be the dark horse, er blue fawn dog, and come from behind to surprise everyone on race day.

I suppose a lot of you think I've been living on Puddles' Cheetos and beer diet, but this is not the case.  As an athlete, I know that I have to be careful with what I eat.  I leave the junk food to Puddles and stick to my yogurt when I need a between meals snack.

I've been looking for inspiraton to win.  It's not just about being cute enough, fast enough, or doggone liked by others, it's about that drive from within.  Then it hit me.  There are lots of Greyhounds waiting back at the kennel where I was adopted, waiting to win their race to the couch.  So, I'm not just running for me now, I'm running for them, too.  I feel the fire or competition in my heart now. I'm ready to go!  So, Pip, what do you say?  Are you ready for race day?  Be sure to tune in February 5 to see the race, everyone!

  3. With a Yoplait top up the result is a foregone conclusion.

  4. BOL, you sure are smart enough to leave the junks to Puddles. Chubbs said he's rooting for Pip because Pip cheered him on for eating my biskait, and you called him a little devil, BOL.

I am rooting for both of you, because of you will be winners to me!

  5. Oh you are a sly one Miss Bunny! For half a second there you had me feelin sorry for you. All this blubberin about no one cheerin you on when we KNOW you have OODLES AND OODLES of fans! Shame!!! Ha! I may be a sap for a beautiful lady BUT I have scruples er.. at least principals ;D After the race I would like to invite you over for a lovely evening where I will wine and dine you and hire a masseuse to work your tired sinewy muscles whilst relaxin in the spa. You will be in paradise with dashin me :D

Oh, the catch? No you don't have to throw the race. I have every confidence you will not win but isn't spendin an evening with me better than winnin a race anyway? ;)

    Waggin at ya,
    Roo

PeeS: You can't tell me you haven't had at least a sip of beer and a few of Puddles cheetos.

  12. I'm glad that you're ready Bunny and eating the nutritious diet in preparation. I like the vision of Pip in the tropics with a hot tub full of lovely ladies. He will regret it!

BTW - you need to wear a lightweight and sleek collar for the big race. No heavy jewels, OK?

  14. I am back from the tropics, I mean training! And for the record, I was not in a hot tub full of ladies. I am not that kind of guy! I was merely making sure the water wasn't too hot and as soon as I was sure it was OK for the ladies, I left!

Don't you worry, I am ready for race day! I am even getting my race hair cut this weekend!

    Your SUPER SPEEDY pal, Pip

  15. I love how you found inspiration to win for those "who are waiting to win their race to the couch" and that the race isn't just to "cute enough, fast enough, or doggone liked by everyone", Bunny! You certainly have used your morning jogs to do some deep thinking and I like that about you! I love both you and Mr. Pip so I can't choose who I'd want to win, you understand, but I'll be staying tuned on race day!
Oh, by the way, I think you should wear THAT OUTFIT on race day! I believe the collar and jacket will bring you good luck!

  16. Oh, Bunny... you sure do look fab in that collar of yours! It would totally look great with the pink boots mom puts on me...

  21. Hey Bunny!
Wow, you look so sleek and athletic! I'm sure you're gonna be great on the big day. Luckily, I get to root for both of you, but I know you'll make a good showing and have tons of fans. I'd never be able to survive without junk food ... good job!

  28. Eat up on that yogurt! Riley used to eat plain yogurt mixed in with her puppy food when she was 2 months old. It's hard to take sides, but we are confident you'll do your best and run your fastest (that means we're confident you'll win!!!).
