Paw It Forward

Bunny here, with a big thank you for Miss Mayzie for sending us this wonderful package in the name of Paw It Forward!

First, I saw that it was addressed to me.  I thought that meant that everything inside should be mine.  Mom said we'd have to open it and see.

Well, there was a nice card from Mayzie and some cool magnets.  We already have those on the refrigerator!

There were also four stuffies and four treat bags.  I suppose that means there was one for everybody!  Morgan says thanks for including her, too, Mayzie!

The rules of Paw It Forward say that we're supposed to pick three friends to send gifts to.  However, we have a feeling that almost everybody has paid it forward already.   So, we were thinking we'd put a twist on it.  Instead of sending presents, we were thinking we'd send the green papers we would have spent buying toys and treats to a few places where it could do some good.

We were already planning on sponsoring The Thundering Herd for their walk for Sarge's Animal Rescue.  Now we figure, we'll just send a little more than the $5 so that they can help Sarge's do their good work.  If you'd like to help sponsor them, and win a chance to have your dog in a picture with them on a t-shirt, go over and see them for the details!

There was a recent raid on a dog hoarder in Texas and our friends with GALT are trying to help since sixteen of the dogs seized are Greyhounds.  They're desperately seeking donations of any kind to help these dogs who are in really bad shape.  I will warn you that the video is very hard to watch and if it bothers you to see dogs in bad shape, it might be better to skip it.  There are also some Salukis who were seized and are also in rescue.  If you want to make some kind of donation to help them take care of these Greyhounds, you can do so.  I can assure you that it will be greatly appreciated and they do wonderful work for the dogs that come into their care.

So, that's how we're planning to Paw It Forward.  I hope that's okay with everybody out there.  We know it will continue to make a huge difference to dogs in the long run.  Thank you so much, Mayzie!
