My Jack Russell use to get toads in my dad's garden. Trouble was she use to be ill afterwards from the poison on their backs. She only ever held them in her mouth for a few seconds, but it was enough. You'd think she'd have learnt after a couple of times.
there are no toads indigenous to Australia. the cane toad was introduced and is poisonous in every life stage. we hunt them and freeze them. unis will have hunts for their bio labs.
i'm lucky that mine have no interest in them. they're big, nasty things.
I'm a girl living in the midwest with my husband and three greyhounds. Sometimes I share writing privileges with Bunny, the youngest of the hounds, as we write about the adventures, or misadventures, of our daily life.
