Hello everyone!  Bunny here with some exciting news!  It seems that I have been chosen as the best hound in the hound group for the esteemed Mango Minster event.  This was my first year competing, so I didn't know what to expect.  Martha and Bailey were the judges and they felt that I was top dog for the hounds.  I'm glad I wasn't a judge, since I thought all the hounds entered were magnifcent.

Now I'm supposed to leave a not for Miss Asta, the Best In Show Judge.  I think I'm supposed to tell her a bit about myself.  That or I'm supposed to amuse her with my charm and wit!  I was bred to be a racing dog, but I was too smart for that and instead raced straight for the couch without passing go or collecting two hundred dollars.  I am working towards a career as a therapy dog instead.  My big outings are usually trips to the nursing home to visit or to the dog bakery.  I'm working on getting Mom back in shape now that the weather is breaking, too.

I'll keep my paws crossed that Miss Asta likes me, but I'm a newcomer to the event, so I'll just be happy for the chance to learn about how the contest operates.  I'm proud to represent the hound group and very happy that a lot of hounds are working together towards a good cause!

  10. Think about it this way. If you win, you will surely get more treats plus your folks will always lift the covers for you to get in bed. No more teasing you. I wish you all the luck!

  11. Bunny, you are just so sweet and beautiful I see you winning the whole shabang!! Congrats on your Best in Hound Win!!! I forgot you mentioned the Therapy Dog comment before. You will make the consummate Therapy Dog. All you have to do is lie there and be petted (and not freak out at loud noises, and not eat food when it's right in front of you, and not jump on people, and not bark, etc.) but I'm sure you'll do fine. Good luck with the Best in Show. And if you need any help with the Therapy Dog stuff, I can help you. Much LOVE. Woof!!!

  17. Hi Bunny! Thanks for stopping by my bloggie! You sure looked glamourous in yer pin up photo. Sigh, I'd like to be glamourous but I don't think 4 inch leggies and a beardie make for sleek n chic! I do my best, but cute is about fancy as I can get.

I read your other post about getting up in the middle of the night. We have that here too. Puffy has started not being able to sleep all night without going for a peepee early. Then he doesn't want to settle down. No one minds taking him out, but if you try to get him back in his crate he starts barking and carryon. What SHE does is leave the leash on him and just hold the leash when she goes back to bed. This keeps him close to the side of the bed and he settles back down and sleeps. SHE thinks since he can't see or hear much, he gets frightened coming back into the dark house. Being on the leash and having it held reassures him. After he settles down, she loops the leash over the nightstand drawer and he never knows the diff. Then SHE can go back to sleep to.

I miss this whole drama cuz I'm getting my beauty sleep curled up on her pillow when she got up. snicker.

    sniffies,
    Bonnie
