Noodles For Fundraising

Bunny here, writing a little about our Tuesday evening.

It was a nice day Tuesday and we were surprised to see Dad come home early.  By we, I mean us hounds.  Apparently Mom already knew about this plan.  I digress.  Dad got home and I noticed that Mom had a bag of stuff ready.  They put things in the van and then got Blueberry and me and took us to the van.

It turns out there was a fundraiser at Noodles and Company over in one of the cities near us for Illinois Search Dogs.  So, Mom and Dad went in and had dinner.  I thought this was a little rude.  I mean, hello, it's for dogs!  Shouldn't we get to eat some noodles for the cause?  Well, we did not get noodles and I was a little put out.  I mean, yes, it was a nice ride in the van, but I thought we were going to do something.

After they got done stuffing their faces with noodles, Mom and Dad came back to the van and then we went to Petco.  Now things were getting interesting.  I can forgive a lot if retail therapy is involved.  Inside, people fussed over Blueberry and me a lot, which also made me happy.  I found something I really wanted, but Mom said no.  So, I settled for some cow hooves instead.

I thought that was a nice day's adventure, but it turns out we weren't done yet.  We also went to the Constitution Trail and had a lovely walk.  Dad likes to go there and ride his bike a lot, too.  There were lots of people and hounds on the trail and even though it was a little warm, it was still a nice night.

Then, on the way home, we went by Dairy Queen and got some ice cream.  Blueberry and I just had a little taste, but that was enough to make me a happy puppy.  I really don't want Spring to ever end.

  1. Sorry you didn't get noodles OR a rabbit.. I guess cow hooves is an okay substitute. Though I, personally, would prefer the noodles. Haha :)

Nice walkie, too! You and your sis look so nice in the first picture of you posing next to each other on the trail.

  3. Bunny-

Shame you didn`t get any noodles, those things look like fun to chase! Better than rabbits--or cats!

  5. Sounds like it turned into a great day, something for everyone...smart Mom and Dad, know how to make it happen for everyone. :)

Thanks much for visiting my blog - yes I did catch the piece on the photoshoot for the 'Dreamland' book (think that is what it was called). They did some marvelous photos of infants. It was facinating to watch them at work. I didn't actually catch it on TV, but checked it out at Today's website. Thank you for mentioning it, I would have missed it otherwise. Greyt weekend to you all!

  8. Sorry about the lack of noodles... butt you have to admit that any adventure that includes retail therapy, a walkie, and Ice Cream... can't be all bad.

  9. What IS it with the humans not wanting us to have live rabbits? Maybe if you cross-your-heart-promised that you would take real good care of it (by chasing it) and play with it every day (by chasing it) and makes sure it had plenty of exercise (by chasing it) and stuff, they would reconsider their unreasonable position. Oh! And if they do, can I come play with it, too?

  11. A bunnie for Bunny? Somehow I'm not thinking the outcome would be beneficial to the bunny. Ice Cream is definitely a good consolation prize. Maybe they'll give you a bunnie stuffie to make up? Hope you have a great weekend!

  17. A little ice cream does go a long way. By which I mean a little for everyone else, and a lot for me.
